Miles- 97,000 – Thirty years ago a good friend came to me and said If you can find me a 73 911 in viper green I’m a buyer. Working at a Porsche dealer at the time I used my resources and came up with a stunning example. This was a no accident local car serviced with a great shop in the area . My friend had many Porsches through the years , and this was to be his crown jewel. Like me, my friend ate drank & slept Porsches. He became the President of the Northern New Jersey Region PCA. To do concours events he took what was a great body and improved it with fresh paint. Jim Newton, one of the leading Porsche restorers on the east coast painted the car. The paint looks like it was just done yesterday.
After a life time of being used sparingly in N.J., my friend and Porsche left for the hills of Vermont. Being a knowledgeable enthusiast he opened a Porsche repair shop. In his spare time he worked on his own projects. He rebuilt the original engine to E specs
which are all internal. This makes for a much peppier drive and still maintains the value. A sport muffler also adds to the experience of the drive. An original could be easily bolted on , but nothing sounds better than an early 911 uncorked. When the body was freshened the large bumper over riders were left off to give it a more European look, they will come with the car. The fog light port covers are also left off to make it resemble a 911R, they will also come with the car. The interior is all original, except for much more comfortable Recarro style seats , and a classic Fittipaldi steering wheel.
With small bumper air cooled cars leading the investment curve, this would be a chance to have fun with your investment dollars. It is a real head turner with its color and style.
