The 1958 Corvette was the ONLY year for the unique features or “Ginger-Bread” trimming on the C1’s. It received an Extraordinary amount of chrome and attention to Flash…. The Front was given a formed “Washboard” Louver design on the hood. The Rear was dolled up with Chrome Spears or “Irons” running the full length of the trunk. More accents were added along the sides wrapping Side Coves. This was the 1st year for the 4 head light Corvette. The Interior is also unique for this year only, to have pebble grain appearances, as were the two piece door panels.
Out of 9148 Corvettes produced, 2006 were graced with Silver-Blue exterior paint. Around 1/3 of those received “code 440” giving the car a 2-tone contrasting cove paint.
